Organised by Islamic Book Trust, Abdullah Yusuf Ali Memorial Lecture Series is the first attempt of its kind to commemorate the man who produced the most widely-read translation of the Glorious Qur’an, The Meaning of the Holy Qur’an: Text, Translation and Commentary, first published in 1934.

The inaugural lecture of the Series was delivered by Dr M A Sherif from the United Kingdom, the author of Searching for Solace: A Biography of Abdullah Yusuf Ali, on December 14, 2008, in Kuala Lumpur.

The second Lecture will be delivered by Dr Muzaffar Iqbal, President, Center for Islam and Science (Canada) and the General Editor of the forthcoming Integrated Encyclopedia of the Qur’an.

Due to limited number of seats, participation is strictly by registration.
